Red Light, Light Red or Terra Rosa, Cad. Scarlet, Permanent Rose, Cad. Green, Cad. Yellow light, Viridian, Utramarine Blue, Dioxazine Purple, Cerulean Blue, Manganese Blue, Black, Titanium White. (Gamblin, Winsor Newton, or Old Holland brands)

Mediums: Gamblin Neo Megilp, Turpenoid, Odorless Mineral Spirits, (artist grade for cleaning brushes)

Brushes: Filberts, # 2, 4, 6, Flats, # 4, 6, 8, Fan Brushes # 4, 6, Sable- cat tongue #6, #8.

Canvas: Portrait Class: 12x16 or 16x20. Still-life Class: 8x10, 11x14, or 12x16.

To tone the canvas you may use Golden Acrylic N5 Neutral Grey. Apply a thin wash on acrylic primed canvas only.

For the Pastel Students: Canson Mi-Teintes pastel paper in Steel grey, Felt grey, Sand or Moonstone. (Optional) Wallis grey tone sanded pastel paper in 12 x18 inch pads.
Any soft pastels you already have. Portrait sets, some good ones that are affordable are: Faber Castell soft pastel sets, Prismacolor Nupastel semi-soft portrait assortment, Prismacolor soft pastel portrait assortment (optional), Rembrandt soft pastel portrait sets (optional).
Pastel pencils for details especially brown tones for sketching, Blending stumps, Kneaded eraser, Ruler, Utility knife for sharpening pencils, Small hand mirror for checking your work, Small chamois for blending or erasing, Drawing board, Masking tape, An 8 x 10 reference photo of your choice preferably not taken with a flash. Paper towels.
