In this two-day workshop, you will be
making a one-of-a-kind hand bag that can be used as a purse, tote, carry-on,
diaper bag, overnight bag, etc., out of fabrics that you hand paint and free
motion quilt – or just regular quilt. We will begin by painting fabric in a
free and easy bohemian style, then machine quilt and construct it to tailor fit
your size, style and/or needs. You will then embellish your bag with jewelry,
buttons, baubles, bangles or beads. This is an awesome piece of wearable art!
*Basic sewing skills and knowledge of sewing machine are necessary. Bring your
own sewing machine, if you have one. See Supply List.

mixed media fabric artist, annie! Wade (AKA bohemiannie! Art) embraces the art of storytelling by
combining textiles, beads, found objects and ephemera to depict stories,
daydreams and memories. With artistic
expressiveness and inventiveness the artist integrates various elements to
create her fabric worlds. Her favorite medium is fabric that's
had another life, such as old clothing and linens, but also use commercial
fabric that she alters with surface design techniques.
